Thanks for purchasing the Lay Greyhound Bot. (If you have not, you can get it Click Here )
If you have subscribed to Lay Horse bot/ Auto profit Soccer/ APS Deluxe/ SAW Deluxe/ Magic Soccer Bot in past, then you can go through this manual very quickly.
Let’s start the deep dive into the Lay Greyhound Bot.
Once your open the bot, complete the registration process and click on desktop icon, then you will see the below screen, where you have to input your betfair id and password and click on login.
Post login, you will see the following screen.
As you can see, you can run up to three different laying strategies with Lay Greyhound Bot. You can select countries you want to bet for each laying strategy.
For example: Lay 1 – you can bet only on Australia and NZ, Lay 2 – you can only bet on UK & Ireland etc. Market to bet: You can select the market which you want to bet on- Place market or Win market.
We won’t recommend place market for Greyhound betting as it has very poor liquidity for automated betting.
Please note if you chose place market, the distance filter will be greyed out, as Betfair don't include distance in the place market.
Back_Lay Tick Diff: This is the gap between the back price and the lay price, the bigger the gap the less money on the dog, keep it low around 5.
Selection: - You can select the favorite you want to bet on among the first five favorites.
We recommend to bet on first three favorites (1st , 2nd and 3rd favorite) only due to liquidity issues from 4th favorite On.
Please note if you chose place market, the distance filter will be greyed out, as Betfair don't include distance in the place market.
Profit Delta – This is another great feature in the bot. Profit delta is the amount by which next lay stake will be increased once you have the losing bet.
For example, if your stop@profit per match is $1 and you have profit delta as $.5, then if you have first match as a losing bet, then your 2nd target will not be $1 but it will be $1.5.
Plus, what additional stake you may have because of the losses in other tabs, as that loss will be distributed to other tabs based on the option you have selected.
Runners – Min and Max runners you want for race to be qualified.
Above settings are very important to understand. I have not spoken about tabs yets, which I will cover later.
Stop@profit per race is the amount which you want to make from each winning race.
Stop@profit each tab is the amount of profit which you want to make from each tab
Stop@profit all tabs is the overall amount of profit which you want to make from the bot overall.
In Lay Greyhound Bot, you will also have one of the finest features which will increase the profitability of the bot exponentially.
Here you can run (up to 20 cycles) for Stop At A Winner betting. It has 20 tabs as you can see on the screenshot above.
Please use the number of tabs as advised in the settings.
Above is the view of one of the tabs, I will discuss details in tab view later.
Next is on how to control the stake on each selection:-
In Laying betting, you have two ways at looking how much you bet. They are staking, which you look at the amount you will bet, eg. £2.00 on a lay of £ 10.00 means your risk is at £18.00 you can lose.
The other is liability, so how much you will lose on a bet. If we use liability, we are betting to what we can lose not how much we will win. No Surprises. If we have a liability of £2.00 then we know the most we can lose is £2.00, regardless of the horse’s odds.
We have introduced the new option called Stop @liability in all of our bots, it gives much greater control.
So below are the two options you can set the bot to bet too.
Liability staking
If you want to use a stake
Most important part of the settings:-
Only one of the above settings will be in control:-
Stop Loss @ Liability each tab (recommended to be used).
Stop Loss @ Staking each tab. This looks at the staking amount to bet. (Original Staking).
Stop Loss @ Liability for each tab – is the value once passed then the tab will enter stop betting or restart the sequence of the betting.
The settings shown above, is how you set it if you want the bot to check the liability before it places the bet ( recommended) , this means the bot will look at the tab target, and the price and then calculate how much needs to be bet. Then check to make sure that the risk (Liability) is not higher than the limit, in this case, we have 5 as the limit.
If the liability is going to be over 5.0, then it will revert back to the default target, and abandon the recovery of the tab.
Cont + restart. If the liability is under target, it will continue betting recovery losses and targets. Recommended setting.
Cont+ No_restart. This button checked will bet regardless of the setting ( 5 in this case). This is the setting you use when you want option to control the staking. So if in the liability option it is button is active, then the bot is looking at the stake and not the liability to control what is bet.
Don’t Cont. If this is ticked, it will bet until the liability is reached and then stop betting the tab.
Other staking option is the stake one. You don’t run both, so you need to set them correctly.
Stop Loss @ staking for each tab (staking setting) – is the value once passed then the tab will either stop betting or restart the sequence of the betting.
The setting below is how you set this option if you want the liability setting to override the staking setting.
If you want to use the staking option then below is how you should set it.
Cont+ restart. If the stake is under target, it will continue betting recovery losses and targets.
Cont+ no_restart. This button checked will bet regardless of the setting. This is the setting you use when you want option to control the liability. So, if in the staking option it is button is active, then the bot is looking at the liability and not the stake to control what is bet.
Don’t cont: If this is ticked, it will bet until the staking has exceeded the limit, and then stop betting that tab.
Please keep in mind, bot will pass the stop loss figure, as it will place a bet, if the loss is below the stop loss, so remember, a 10 stop loss could actually be much higher. Once the stop loss has been passed, it will either stop or restart (if option is ticked)
Example : If stop loss is set at 50, and the tab has a loss of say 48.00, the bot will still try and recover that 48 as it is under 50, so if the odds are say 2.0, then it will bet around 50 to recover the 48 loss plus the target. Meaning you will be at 98 should the bet lose. That is when the tab would stop trying to recover the loss.
Continue Button
Continue button will ensure that the bot should not stop once profit target is reached (per match or per tab) but it will start the fresh cycle.
So, if you want to keep running the bot always, please keep the continue button ticked.
You will see this pop up when making staking changes and also when you start the bot up, this warning is a betfair regulation.
With distribute losses, as soon as you have losing tab in any tab, the loss will either will distributed equally to all enabled tabs ( say out of 20 tabs, you have enabled only first 10) , so losses will be distributed among 10 tabs.
User can select the type of races he wants to bet on. It is only available for UK and Australian dog races.
When you select the Place market you do not get the option of selecting Boxes (Trap) or types of races, as Betfair don't use them in the place market as a option.
User can select which trap boxes he wants to bet into. We have provided up to ten traps to cover special dog races as well.
Start button: - Once the settings are set by the user, press the start button in order to start the bot.
Stop button: - press the stop button to stop the bot.
Log out: - press the log out button and you will come out of the bot.
Clear button
when you start betting next day, the bot will start from the same cycle where you left it previous day unless you use a clear button and want to start fresh.
If you want to continue the same cycle, don’t use the clear button and just press the start button and let it run every day. There are respective clear buttons for each tab for each lay as well.
There is one box which you will see at the middle center of the interface.
It will show at what time the user pressed the clear button for the particular tab. The profit/loss for tabs will be shown accordingly from the time the clear button was last clicked.
As soon as you press the clear button, the bot will erase all staking sequence, profit/loss etc and will start fresh.
When you click on software manual, you would have got access to this manual only.
Commission: - user input betfair commission.
API requests/sec – It shows you the number of API Calls per second being requested from betfair. As long as it is below 10, you are within the betfair limit and no data charges will be charged to your account. We have designed all our bots in such a way, that it should remain under 10.
Auto reload: This button (if checked) will keep on loading the greyhound markets for the day every 2nd hour. If you want to keep the bot running on your desktop/laptop or VPS, please keep it checked.
Please keep auto reload checked all the time.
This is very important feature in all of our bots. Now, the user can see what the bot is doing second by second. You may not be able to understand everything what is in the log but it is helpful in order to investigate any error.
You can access the detailed log file at the following address:-
If you are our existing user of SAW Deluxe or APS Deluxe, then I am sure you will find LayGreyhoundbot very comfortable to use. But if you are new to our bots, I strongly recommend you to go through and read APS manual and the user videos, so you get end to end view on functioning of our bots.
Added:
Clearing the Results Tab to clean slate.
To clear the Results log and staking, you can delete the files in the program (In red boxes)., and they will clear and restart fresh.
